The people of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) have suffered one of the deadliest conflicts since the Second World War, resulting in a crushed economy and a virtually non-existent infrastructure.

Orphans International works in the South Kivu and High plateau region. This is an extremely isolated area that has received little or no government support for many years, the education system is near to collapse. We are working alongside communities who are determined to give their children a quality education and bringing about some truly positive changes.
